Tab Manager Pro ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Chrome extension.

Data Collection

The extension operates entirely locally on your device and only accesses tab information when you explicitly open the extension popup.

What We Do

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API to:

• Store tab sessions - Save your current tab collection (URLs and titles) for later restoration
• Store user preferences - Save extension settings such as dark mode preference

All data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any third-party servers or services.

Tab Information Access

The extension only accesses tab information when you explicitly open the extension popup by:

• Clicking the extension icon in the browser toolbar

When the extension popup is open, it:

• Reads tab titles and URLs to display them in the list
• Uses tab information to group tabs by domain
• Detects duplicate tabs by comparing URLs
• Allows you to save tab sessions (URLs and titles only)
• Does not access or store any webpage content
• Does not access any personal information or sensitive data

When the popup is closed, the extension does not continue to access tab information.

Permissions Explained

tabs

Used to access and manage browser tabs. This allows the extension to display a list of all open tabs, switch between tabs, close tabs, detect duplicates, and perform tab management operations. The extension only accesses tab information when you explicitly open the extension popup.

tabGroups

Used to create and manage tab groups. This allows the extension to automatically group tabs by domain, assign colors to groups, and organize tabs for better management. The extension only creates groups when you explicitly click the "Group by Domain" button.

storage

Used to save your tab sessions and extension preferences locally on your device. This allows you to save your current set of tabs (including URLs and titles) and restore them later. All data remains on your device and is never transmitted.

Data Sharing

All data remains on your device. We do not:

• Collect personal information
• Track user behavior
• Share data with advertisers
• Sell data to third parties
• Use data for any purpose other than tab management
• Access or store webpage content
• Transmit tab URLs or titles to external servers

Third-Party Services

The extension does not communicate with any external servers or third-party services. All functionality operates entirely locally on your device.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. All stored tab sessions and preferences can be cleared by:

• Deleting sessions within the extension
• Uninstalling the extension
• Clearing Chrome's extension storage
• Disabling the extension

Children's Privacy

Our extension does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we do not collect any data, this is not applicable.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
