The extension operates entirely locally on your device and only accesses webpage content when you explicitly activate the color picker.

What We Do

Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API to:

• Store color history - Save recently picked colors for quick access
• Store color palettes - Save your custom color palettes and collections
• Store user preferences - Save any extension settings or preferences

All data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any third-party servers or services.

Webpage Access

The extension only accesses webpage content when you explicitly activate the color picker by:

• Clicking the extension icon
• Clicking "Activate Color Picker"
• Clicking on a webpage element to pick a color

When the color picker is active, the extension:

• Reads the DOM to detect colors from elements you click
• Uses browser APIs to extract color information
• Does not access or store any webpage content beyond color values
• Does not access any personal information or sensitive data

When the color picker is deactivated, all access to the webpage is removed.

Permissions Explained

activeTab

Used to access the current webpage's DOM when you activate the color picker. This allows the extension to detect colors from elements you click on. The extension only accesses the active tab when you explicitly activate the color picker.

storage

Used to save your color history and color palettes locally on your device. All data remains on your device and is never transmitted.

scripting

Used to inject a content script into webpages when you activate the color picker. This script enables color detection functionality. The script is only injected when you explicitly activate the color picker and is removed when deactivated.

Data Sharing

All data remains on your device. We do not:

• Collect personal information
• Track user behavior
• Share data with advertisers
• Sell data to third parties
• Use data for any purpose other than color picking and management
• Access or store webpage content beyond color values

Third-Party Services

The extension does not communicate with any external servers or third-party services. All functionality operates entirely locally on your device.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. All stored color history and palettes can be cleared by:

• Using the "Clear History" button in the extension
• Deleting palettes within the extension
• Uninstalling the extension
• Clearing Chrome's extension storage
• Disabling the extension
